ASSISTANT FASHION DESIGNER
A BLANK PAGE
During my training in the Fashion Design BTS, I achieved a professional project. It consisted in simulating the creation of a ready-to-wear clothing company. Through this project I dealt philosophic, economic, social and brand identity aspects. The brand I imagined is named O/X.
The starting point of my project arose from a desire to work on a blank page. According to me, this support is deprived of color and meaning. How can this blank page become an unlimited medium of creations and meanings ? In this project, the idea was to find out the garment a new kind of a blank page. The garment would become an innovatove approach of language and it would evolve at the same time as the individual wearing it.
THE BODY
For some years I have found interest in the human body. My knowledge in photography techniques allows me to experiment on it. By submitting my pictures to computer manipulations, I was able to reach a troubling, uncanny result. From these manipulations, I drew a disturbing and surprising collection. Body proportions become irregular, the silhouette is ill-treated, the body and its clothing are one.
A DREAM TRIP, IT'S ALREADY A TRIP
The origin of this collections was a personal project : a travel across the United States of America. I wanted to talk about things such as road trips and the immensity of American landscapes. Throughout my creative process, I was inspired by several photographers such as Maurice Scheltens, Liebeth Abbenes and Matthias Heidrich. I liked their urban abstract photographs for the confusion they could convey between the city and nature. This collection is named Isosceles, and is characterized by sportswear and structured lines.
The following art These projects were carried out as part of my fashion studies. Some of them were conceived according to a charter, while others were created in total autonomy. In both cases the goal was to imagine a collection of clothes - ready-to-wear or Haute Couture - around a theme. These achievements are the reflection of my artistic universe, my opinions and my professional qualifications.
HERITAGE
The legacy project is about the human body. It is driven by a question : what is the impact of the time on the body ? In this series, I talk about the evolution of the aesthetics of the body, about both ephemeral and permanent transformations. This collection hosts two categories of products : double-skin clothing, and more structured pieces. The goal is to create continuity between the body and its clothing.
CYBORG
This project is about Cyborg. This term is used in science-fiction to describe humans with robotic parts. Cyborgs are the product of the fusion of organic beings and machines. Why do men try to create machines that look like him ? Do men tend to slowly make robots of themselves ? Through clothing, I imagined a robotic human. The garment mistreats the human body , whose joints are blocked, reducing its freedom of movement.
